The game’s audio

While the audio in this game is not of great importance (since I’m not demonstrating my audio programming or music composition skills) but it can help into significantly boosting the feel of the game and therefore making it look more professional. To achieve that I’m going to use OpenAL library, one of the best available solutions for games audio, used by major games such as Unreal Tournament 3 and Quake 4.

When it comes to seriously thinking about my career, I’ve decided to stay away from art and stick to programming which can result into a nice stable job but I think my music and knowledge is good enough so that I could actually work as a games music composer.

That said, I’m obviously going to be the one making the music and the sound effects of the game and that’s going to be with a great pleasure. It’s also going to be something done at the very end of the project’s timeline as it’s not a critical component of the game.
